1.    Positive effects of conflict



Conflict isn’t always a bad thing as there are some positive effects too which I have discussed below:

Improve the quality of decisions

Sometimes conflict will also help to improve the quality of decisions as because when conflict is facing by someone he/ she gain a lot of information and additional information as well as creative thinking which helps them better decision making to achieve goals and reduces obstacles.
Creativity and imagination Creativity and imagination will also increase when an individual facing conflict as because people only create new ideas and imagine different and innovative things when they are in trouble which further leads to the effective outcome of project or a goal.

Increased participation

At the times of conflict every member in a team try to solve it which results in more participation. Each member gives their best to solve it so that they get more appreciation or complement by others that why everyone participates and give innovative ideas. After that, collaborate all ideas to resolve the conflict which is easy and time saving too.

Build learning

People can learn many things from the conflict such as; how to deal with the troubles, how we work in a team, learn the importance of team work, cooperation and many other things which are beneficial to the career of people.

Conclusion

So overall, there are many causes of conflict which leads to obstacle in the future. Moreover, there are many different ways to handle conflicts but the best way is a teamwork. Working in a team with full participation and concentration helps the members to manage the conflicts easily in a shorter period. So, always give respect to other members and try give hard competition without getting panic and jealous. Furthermore, there are many negative effects of conflict which leads to serious conditions, so avoid or resolve conflict in an appropriate manner by cooperating with team. Not always conflict has only negative effects. There are some positive aspects too of conflicts which teach us many different things and helps in future to solve easily. (stack, 2005)

1.    Negative effects of conflict

Many of the conflict leads to negative effects which are discussed below briefly 

Mental health issues:

Conflict becomes the reason of frustration and angriness of the group members. When they feel bad and thinks that there is no solution of this conflict, then they suffer from stress problems and a person may face some serious conditions which is hazardous to health and that becomes a big concern for them.

Members leave groups:

Sometimes members get more annoying and want to leave a group or a team which further has a bad effect on outcomes and the division of work is enhanced on the other members of a group which is very time consuming and cannot able to finish the project up to deadline.

Violence

Sometimes conflict will result in violence among group members which will further cause serious injuries or legal problems for members and do not able to achieve goals or may face some penalties by the authorities and punished strictly.

Decrease in productivity

Conflict will also lead to worse productivity as because conflict cause the member to concentrate less on the goals or project that will further cause in bad outcomes and negative results and the members will face huge loss huge loss whether it terms in wealth or time and anything.

Wastage of time:

This is the another major negative effect of conflict. Conflict takes a lot of time to solve it that results in waste in waste of time. As it truly, said that “once the time gone it never comes”. So manage the time to resolve conflict which will results in an efficient and effective manner.

Waste of resources:

The business may lose precious resources at the time of conflicts. Instead of concentrating on goals or objectives, members misuse the funds and resources which reduce the profitability and increased the cost of the business.

Lost performance due to conflict

Members may also lose his or her performance at time conflicts. Lower performance will also result in low productivity and members or employees may lose the jobs which is the big issue for employees. So it means that the effects of conflict interrelated to each other. (proactive resolutions, n.d.)

Talk with the other person

Talk with the other person like friend or family member whom you know better and meet him at the silent zone so that you can explain conflicts in a proper manner without any disturbance which will help you to focus easily to handle conflict,

Listen carefully

Listening to someone is a good skill. Listening gives a lot of information by the speaker which is beneficial for us. So listen carefully what the other person is saying instead of getting ready to react. If you have some doubts, then ask questions to clarify your understandings when he will stop speaking.

Focus on behaviour and events, not on personalities

Always concentrate on behavior and events. In addition, explain a specific example or event for instance; when this happen and avoid other common and unwanted things.

Identify points of agreement and disagreement

Always ask your teammate or partner about her views which you are discussed. Continue research or innovate more ideas until the other team members agree with you or your opinion and all members should have the same view regarding project or a goal.

Prioritize the areas of conflict

Always explain the most important thing or area of conflict first. thereafter, you can discuss on the other areas that has less importance.

 Develop a plan to work on each conflict

Planning is the most important step to solve conflict. So better planning and proper concentration on the future as well as continue meetings in future for further discussions on conflicts

Follow through on your plan

When planning is done then go for it to solve conflicts with your best and use discussions opinion too when you work on the conflict. Think appropriate and then take next step to accomplish your goals in an effective and efficient manner.

Build on your success

When you will achieve a success then look for opportunities for your career and give appreciation to the other people who helps you and works with you to resolve conflict which shows respect and your traits also. (faculty and staff, 2015)
